François Berthod



François is renowned for his expertise in business litigation (commercial, financial and corporate matters), as well as in white-collar criminal law.

His work mainly concerns the resolution of business disputes (affecting companies and their managers).

François handles complex business matters on a daily basis. His practice includes matters relating to commercial liability, M&A and post-acquisition, conflicts between shareholders, products liability as well as white-collar crime law.

François has developed a specific expertise in disputes concerning distribution and commercial issues (vertical restrictions, concessions, commercial agency, franchise, etc.), unfair competition, regulated and restrictive business practices.

François represents French and foreign companies in various sectors including investment funds, finance, industrial companies, and companies operating in the luxury sector, media, telecommunications, or new technology.

Following his time at the European Court of Justice, François worked at Bredin Prat law firm and De Gaulle Fleurance & Associés. He was partner of a Paris law firm before setting up Artemont.
